Pousada Chapada Do Araripe

The breakfast was the big letdown. The coffee was cold, the food looked like it had been sitting there for a week, and the cheese and ham smelled bad. There were flies around too, so it was all pretty awful. At least I slept well: the room smelled fresh, the bed was comfortable, and the night staff were very good. The indoor parking was a bit tight, but we parked on an upper level.

The people were so kind and polite, from my very first contact with them. I also really liked the room, and breakfast was a feast with nothing to complain about. I’ll definitely stay there again when I’m in town.

Pousada Chapada do Araripe was a nice surprise in Araripina, and the owner gave us a lovely welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy, with outlets in handy spots, a good TV and internet, a comfortable bed and large pillows. There’s a minibar, the air conditioning cooled well, and breakfast was tasty and decent. Parking is available too. I did miss having a hygiene shower, and the bedspread shed fluff. Those are small issues, though, and didn’t take away from a good stay at this small, friendly pousada. The owner was lovely, and the price is negotiable. I recommend it.

The staff were helpful and polite, and the place was really pleasant. It’s right by the highway, but there wasn’t any noise at night. You’re in Araripina, which I consider the Princess of the plateau. I recommend it.
