Pousada Mandala

A calm, pleasant spot with a cozy room and a nice chance to meet other people. The owner is very kind, and you can get help arranging tours there if you need it.

The first thing I noticed was the attractive architecture, which gives the place a pleasant feel. The manager was warm and attentive, and the reception staff handled things very well. One thing to know: the desk closes at 11 p.m. for initial check-in. After you've got your room, you're free to come and go whenever you like. Rooms have a private bathroom, TV, and small fridge. Cleaning was thorough, with a woman coming daily and changing the sheets every day. Breakfast runs from 6:30 to 8:30. It's not continental, but there was enough variety and it was filling. There's free Wi-Fi and parking at no cost, though parking is first come, first served. The internet signal was weak in some spots, specifically rooms 1, 2, and 4. Other than that, Pousada Mandala is welcoming, clean, and comfortable for a very affordable price. A great value stay.

The breakfast was tasty and had plenty to choose from, including yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, breads, cakes, and other food. Outside, lots of flowers make the inn feel pretty and cozy, and it's close enough to the centre of Bonito to walk around. The price felt fair for what we got. Our arrival was awkward because the receptionist said she couldn't hear the bell, so we had to find someone to help us. The room had a strong mouldy smell that never went away, and the blankets smelled unpleasant too. On the plus side, there was a hot shower, smart TV, and air conditioning.

Good value and a great location, with very attentive staff. We're especially grateful to Grazi for being so willing to help. The inn could improve its facilities, cleanliness, and breakfast.
