Things started badly at check-in. The owner spoke to me by phone and said she'd only come downstairs if I wanted to stay. It was late during Carnival, and I had two children with me, so I felt I had no choice but to accept. After we paid, she got angry because my husband touched the gate before she'd explained how to use it, and made a scene, swearing in front of my children, ages seven and two. She gave us a long list of rules, including that we couldn't leave anything switched on in the room or we'd be fined. We followed them, but although we paid for four, we were given only two towels and left to manage. There was no Wi-Fi, and the room was old, musty, and poorly cleaned. My two-year-old dropped a tiny box of crayons on the floor, which would have been easy to clean with soap. We left at 7 a.m. Thursday. On Friday, the host called to insult me over the crayons, saying I didn't know how to raise my children and that we were ill-mannered. To me, she was the one behaving erratically, which was apparent from the moment we arrived. It's a shame I hadn't seen the earlier complaints on Google and Booking. Here are some records.

The owner lives on site and is so rude and ill-mannered that it's frightening. Even if this place were a stable, I'd still rate it badly because she treats guests worse than animals.

The room was cozy, the setting beautifully done, and the service was perfect. Excellent location and good value for the price.

I hesitated to post a negative review because, as a business owner, I know how much one can hurt. When a customer complains to me, I take responsibility, listen, try to understand their position, and work to fix it. The owner of this inn did the opposite. She has no business dealing with people, especially customers, and I think she should sell the place and invest the money elsewhere. She verbally went after me for no reason. When I left for the beach, there were three other cars still at the inn, and I left the gate closed. When I came back, not one car was there, but the gate was open and the owner was sitting at a table. As I headed to my room, she started yelling that I'd left it open. I tried to explain that I was the first to leave, but she came close and asked if I was calling her blind and saying she didn't know what she was talking about. She seemed a bit unhinged, so I stayed quiet. I was certain my car hadn't been the last one out. If she absolutely doesn't want the gate left open, she should install an automatic one; dealing with people can be like this. The woman who cleans the rooms, though, is lovely, very attentive and kind. She deserves a 10!

I rarely write reviews, good or bad, but this stay was awful enough that I wanted to share what happened. Ana, the owner, was very welcoming when we arrived. After we filled out the form, she told us she was from Córdoba Capital and had lived in Brazil for 25 years. We paid for the full stay, though we were only there from noon until 2 a.m. Everything seemed fine at first. Then the TV's HDMI cable wouldn't work, and it was clearly broken, so we asked if it could be replaced. We'd only been upstairs long enough to drop our bags, about five minutes, but she accused us of breaking it and shouted at us. She was rude and abusive. About half an hour later, while greeting other guests, she asked us, “Everything alright?” as if being friendly. Based on the facilities, I could see this place working for a one-night stay, but I absolutely do not recommend it because of Ana's appalling service. She seems to have trouble controlling her emotions. I'd give zero stars if I could, but since I can't, here's one as a gift. Regards.
