Breakfast had plenty on offer, but the quality was low. The customer service was poor too. Staff moved us to another room after 30-45 minutes because, they said, the first one had already been reserved. When I changed rooms, I left my underwear under the blankets in the room we’d been assigned before. I went straight to reception, and they told me a new guest had gone in soon after we left, so the room couldn't be disturbed. That meant my used underwear was in that guest's bed. The next day, reception said they couldn't find it. I went to the old room myself while it was being cleaned and found it on the bedside, left there for other guests to enjoy. Funny, in a way, but customer service at this resort just doesn't exist.

We booked through booking.com six months ahead at a good rate, with no prepayment required. Then the hotel privately messaged us to say its payment policy had changed and tried to charge us. Our bank flagged the charge as suspicious and blocked it. We transferred money to our Brazilian account and messaged the hotel to explain that it would arrive within a few hours. We were trying to keep the reservation, but they ignored our messages and cancelled the stay. When we called, they said rooms were still available, but only at the current rate. It feels like they did this on New Year’s Eve to get more money from someone else because we had booked at a better price. Absolutely horrific management. We've stayed in hotels all over the world and never had anything like this happen.

The staff were nice, and it’s a great hotel close to Centro. The only downside was that the breakfast room and pool sometimes got crowded at peak times.

It’s a beautiful hotel, and breakfast is included. There are two pools, but cleanliness was poor and the linens were old.
