We had a private balcony overlooking the ocean, and the hotel has direct access to a beautiful, quiet beach that wasn’t crowded. The area felt safe and peaceful. If you’re trying to save on accommodation, I’d recommend it. For a luxury stay, you’d want to book somewhere 5-star. We spent six days in an ocean-view suite at a very reasonable rate. It had a small refrigerator, air conditioning, a hot shower, and free Wi-Fi. The pool was cleaned every day, and the tidy garden had lounge chairs for relaxing and enjoying the view. Beach shuttles stop right outside, and by car you can reach any beach in 10-15 minutes. Breakfast was good, with fresh, delicious food always available. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was free parking in front. The hotel met our expectations for what we paid. There are some things that could be improved, though we could see they were working to repair and improve the place.

The breakfast was very good, and the reception and breakfast staff were excellent. But our stay was a huge letdown compared with what the website promised. The rotating parking turned out to be the unpaved sidewalk in front of the hotel, muddy from the rain. The bathrooms in two rooms had so much mold they looked like fungus colonies, and there was a bad smell coming from the sewage. Furniture was damaged and broken. There were many complaints and early departures, but I didn’t see anyone responsible come out to find out why. I’m not even sure the managers exist, and the email listed on the site doesn’t work. Such a beautiful place left to fall apart, with no commitment to its guests or tourists. Regards, Paulo.

The workers tried hard to make things okay, but there’s only so much they can do when the problems are built into the place. They deserve a proper management company that takes care of the property, renovates it, and builds decent parking. The place has potential, and the staff deserve better. The beach was unsettling, with nowhere to sit on the sand, and the sea was warm but very rough. The pool was warm too, but the water was dark. There were only about six chairs and no umbrellas. My room felt creepy: the lock had already been forced, the window glass was thick with dirt, and the television was a broken monitor with three channels and very low, muffled sound. The sheets smelled musty, and the gray, greasy blanket looked like a shroud. The shower had only four streams of water and nowhere to put shampoo or soap. At least the toilet paper was good. I felt like I was in a ghost hotel or an abandoned psychiatric hospital. The place had a bad, low energy. I can’t explain it, but it felt like it needed a priest, a bishop, an exu, paranormal people, holy water, anil, and more. I paid five times the rate I’m seeing now, and what I paid for one day would cover five days at that price. If I’d paid that lower amount, I wouldn’t be writing this, because it would’ve been fair for the place. I thought it would look like the photos, but it didn’t. I want somewhere as good as home when I travel, or better. I don’t leave my comfort to struggle, and that’s what happened here. For 200 reais less, I could’ve stayed at the hotel next door, which was a thousand times better. Don’t pay 600, 700, or 800. It’s worth 100-150, maybe. I got caught paying too much because I trusted the photos. I don’t know why my rate was so high, but I won’t book again without seeing a place first. Please go look in person or ask for a video call. I threw my money away. The coffee was quite tasty. The people working there need new management, someone who’ll really take charge, close it down, tear it down, and start over. The staff are making an effort, but they can’t fix structural problems themselves.

This was easily one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. The travel package photos through Decolar made the place look fantastic, but it was nothing like that when we arrived. The room was badly neglected, the bathroom was awful, and the shower was inside a bathtub with only one temperature setting. It got so hot it was impossible to shower with it running. The wooden walls made a lot of noise, and the doors were stuck right next to each other. Breakfast was poor. I don’t recommend this place. Avoid staying here.

The sea view was breathtaking, something that really stays with you if you love the ocean. I’m grateful for having seen it, and the landscape was so beautiful that photos can’t capture it. I’ll keep those memories close. My time at Hanna Búzios was excellent, a real hidden gem, and I’m thankful for life and the chance arrival that brought me to Búzios. At first, after reading some reviews, I was a bit disappointed. But once I saw my room, my impression changed: it was lovely, clean, and tidy. I was especially surprised to see that when guests checked out, everything was replaced, even the mattress. That showed real care for hygiene and a good night’s rest. The inn is a little far from the center, though buses and vans will take you there for just 5 reais round trip. I’d suggest adding a shuttle with set departure times to the center to make the stay more convenient. Some of the other guests we encountered during our stay were unpleasant and seemed to complain about everything. Still, on a tour we met people staying at places downtown who’d had truly awful experiences, including no electricity or water, and even robberies at other inns. It left me devastated.
