For the price, having a private room and bathroom with breakfast included makes this a good value choice for a 2-3 night stay. The location is excellent, and the friendly, welcoming staff were always ready to help. The place has a hostel-like hotel feel, with basic facilities that could use some updating. In our room, the sheets, towels, and bathroom looked a bit tired, and the photos on Booking.com made the room, especially the bathroom, look better than it did in person. Breakfast is simple but enough to get the day started, though sometimes guests had to wait for items, especially eggs, to be replenished. Expectations should match the price: it doesn’t claim to be a five-star hotel. If you’re after good value rather than luxury, you’ll likely be very happy here.

Being right in the center of buzios is Kico’s biggest plus, with convenience stores, restaurants, gift shops, and a bunch of tour agencies nearby, plus two beaches just a block away. For the price per night, it’s a steal. My room had A/C and the basics for a pleasant stay. It’s a small, cozy pousada with a rustic feel, but that didn’t stop me from having a good time. They serve breakfast from 8am to 10am, and the staff are relaxed and well mannered. You can hang wet clothes outside your room.

The owners are Italian twins, and you can never tell which one you’re talking to. The pousada is well located in the center of buzios, making it easy to get to other spots. Breakfast was good for the price, while the rooms varied.
