My wife and I had paid in full on February 22, 2026 for a Booking.com reservation on April 3, 4, and 5, during Holy Week. We had arranged our schedules around it, including swapping a work shift and taking time off. Then at 6:43 p.m. on March 31, we got an email from Booking saying the inn had canceled because it was temporarily or permanently closed and that we needed to book somewhere else. I called the inn. An administrator said they were full for those dates, and when I asked about the cancellation, claimed it had been requested a long time ago and Booking had failed to tell us. One call to Booking showed that wasn't true: the inn had canceled just minutes before the email arrived. The administrator also said he'd help find us another place through hotel contacts and call back, but never did. It’s shameful. They say they're closing and cancel customers' plans and dreams, apparently so they can rent rooms outside the platform for much more, knowing the city will be packed for the long holiday and prices will be out of reach.

My boyfriend loved the stroganoff and all the seafood dishes, and the portions are generous. The açaí was the best in Búzios. We ate here all week, with fair prices that didn't take advantage of tourists, and the food was wonderful. I was in Búzios during a very hard time in my life, recovering from a hospital stay and waiting for surgery. I have severe dietary restrictions, and Zé, Thómas, and Daphne helped me through it. A lovely family runs the place, and I especially want to thank them for making chicken with potatoes just for me. Zé, I'm grateful for the warm welcome. I'll come back to thank you after my surgery.

On December 26, I stopped in for lunch after coming back from the beach. The moqueca for two was really tasty, and the executive dish I ordered afterward, breaded shrimp with panko and mashed plantain, was even better. The prices felt very fair for Búzios. I'd recommend it.

Lunch here was a real pleasure. I had moqueca and grilled chicken, both classic local dishes, and the food was excellent. Prices were reasonable, especially compared with the beach. The seafood with its tasty sauces is a must-try in Geribá. Highly recommend it.
