Such a great stay. I’d happily come back, and I definitely recommend it!

The location is fantastic. You can get around on foot from here, and Praia do Canto is surprisingly beautiful in its simple way. There are places to rent chairs and get service, cold beer, and snacks, including Bar do Leco. I’ll be back. Patrícia left my room clean, tidy, and smelling lovely. The garden is beautiful and well cared for, with two very well-behaved cats. The pool is great and stays open until 9 p.m., so I could swim after a day at the beach. Breakfast had plenty of fruit and bread, and the staff were all very kind. A couple of things could use attention: the shower water pressure was low, and the coffee machine kept breaking down. Divino came to fix it and was very friendly.

I’d been worried by the bad reviews I’d read, but our three nights went perfectly. The staff were friendly, the air conditioning worked, the sink drained properly, and the shower got hot enough. Breakfast was generous and varied, with everything covered to keep bugs away. We also spent an afternoon at the first-floor pool after coming back from the beach. The one thing I didn’t like was that the bed sheets and towels had visible stains, even though they’d clearly been washed. For a city where places to stay are expensive, I thought it was good value.
