Pousada Caminho das Aroeiras

The room had plenty of space, everything worked, and there was a great extra bed, handy for people who bring a lot of stuff. It also had a balcony and a bathroom hair dryer. I liked the little container with cutlery and napkins, plus two small glasses. The garden was beautiful, carefully tended, and spotless, and breakfast was plentiful in a cozy setting. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff were helpful but discreet, and they got in touch on WhatsApp right after we booked to confirm. I had made a mistake with the payment method, and they changed it for me. Great job all around, highly recommend!

The room was spacious and well maintained, and the service was excellent. I thought the pousada was really beautiful, and the free New Year's dinner and sparkling wine we received were a nice touch that made me feel appreciated. There is no pool, and it's far from Rua das Pedras. The street felt pretty strange to walk along, so I'd especially recommend staying here if you have transportation. I also had a problem with the shower giving me electric shocks 🤷‍♀️.

It's a charming pousada, well placed for enjoying Praia da Ferradura and heading into the center at night. Breakfast was okay, though not especially good. A couple of things needed attention: the toilet seat in my room was loose, and the shower looked old.

The location made it easy to walk to the beach and into the city center in the evening. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and the water was good. Breakfast was the best I've had in this area, and they also served afternoon tea with cake. A wonderful, cozy pousada, easily a 10 out of 10.
