The location worked well for a quiet stay, close to Geribá Beach, though not right in the centre. Breakfast was enough for an inn, even if it wasn’t continental and didn’t have much variety. The staff were kind, and we appreciated how quickly they sorted out the room issue. The inn is beautiful, but the appliances are outdated. Our first room, in section 2, was much smaller and more basic than we expected. The bathroom was tiny, its fixtures were old, and there was a strong sewage smell inside that area. We know Búzios streets can sometimes smell, but it was very noticeable in that part of the hotel. The mattress moved whenever one of us turned, so the other felt it right away, and the amenities weren’t like those we’d seen in other rooms. We raised it with reception, and they listened and offered another room in section 1. The difference was remarkable: it was much bigger, the bathroom was in much better shape, and there was no smell. We were assigned rooms 112 and 114 on the first floor of section 1, which were in good condition. If possible, I’d ask for a room in that area, since the difference between sections is significant. The stay started badly, but they fixed things quickly and efficiently, and it turned into a wonderful stay.

They cleaned and changed the sheets and towels every other day, but my bathroom light was out for two days and they never replaced the bulb. The bathroom was leaking, which we reported, and they were fixing it on the day the room was meant to be cleaned. They forgot to clean, so the bedroom stayed dirty for three days. When we said we were leaving, a staff member came to check the room and told me, “The towels are stained black. You have to pay for them.” Seriously? We had no bathroom light for two days and no cleaning for three, and then I was told I had to pay for towels? She had no shame. We left without paying anything. I don’t recommend this place. I also heard lots of complaints from other guests.

The service at reception and from the rest of the staff was spectacular. Most of them are Argentinian, which made it easier to communicate, and they were attentive, helpful, and gave advice about everything. The location is excellent, two blocks from Geribá Beach and very close to the main avenue. The inn could use a little maintenance, and the room cleaning could be better. It isn’t a luxury hotel, but small fixes would make a big difference. I went a few months ago and would definitely return. THANK YOU 🥰
