The location is good, but the service was poor. Room 1 had a mosquito infestation, a strong musty smell, and damp patches. They even suggested going to the little market to get something to deal with the mosquitoes. The room wasn't cleaned properly, and they didn't even sweep for guests. Breakfast didn't match the advertising. They barely replied on WhatsApp, even during the hours they set for customer service. They seemed interested only in making a sale and unwilling to help. At checkout, they told us to leave the key at reception, with nobody there to see us off.

Carmel, the host, was very friendly, but the inn needs to improve across the board. The location is its only good point. The place was dirty, and the room had damp patches and a strong mold smell. The mattresses were old and full of dust mites. It looked nothing like the photos. There was no cleaning or trash removal on any of the days. The pool speaks for itself. Just a heads-up.

The worst stay I've ever had. My girlfriend and I spent three nights there. The room we were first given was at the back of the property, poorly ventilated, with damp walls and a bathroom in such a poor state that I think any serious health inspection would have shut it down. When we complained, a staff member said the other rooms were occupied. They offered one alternative, but water was dripping from its bathroom ceiling because of a leak in the room above. We stayed in the first room, where the strong mold smell meant we kept using air fresheners. The final night was worse: we returned early in the evening to find cockroaches all over the room. Every time we picked up a suitcase, bag, or something else, another one came out. I counted six. After we complained, another staff member moved us to a better room that looked like the online listing. The room we had before looked nothing like the photos. The hotel costs much less than its competitors in Búzios, and we expected basic accommodation. We already knew about the mold complaints and the criticism of breakfast, so we didn't use that service. But the room we got was completely unlike the advertised one and unfit to stay in. We paid the same as guests in better rooms. To me, this shows the owner's greed: they take more guests by offering rooms that aren't fit for use. I think the sites advertising this hotel should review its listing to protect their credibility.

The place was quiet, and the bed was soft and comfortable. The shower had hot water, and the bathroom was clean. I think I stayed in the family room; it worked well to divide the space because it had doors. The owner was very friendly. We had our own room key, which gave us a sense of independence.
