Pousada Velas Buzios

Great.

The location worked really well for us since we had a car, though I can’t say what it’s like on foot. There were a few things that could be better, but the inn and the service were very good. The value feels a bit high for what you get. The sauna only runs for two hours at night, the bathroom had a slight sewer smell, and construction on the neighboring lot was disruptive in the morning. On the plus side, breakfast was tasty and the 24-hour reception made a big difference. The beds, TV, and air conditioning were fine, though nothing fancy.

It’s comfortable, clean enough, and breakfast was good. We had a problem with the shower, but they fixed it. There’s a market and a convenience store at the gas station next door, which can be handy if you need food. It’s not close to the center, though. You’ll need a car to get to the beaches and Rua das Pedras.

Such a cozy place, very clean, with wonderful breakfast. The staff were polite and helpful. The only awkward part is getting in: you have to get out of the car and ring the bell to have someone open the garage gate.
