Breakfast is served at set times, which makes it easier to plan the day, and there's a generous selection. The owners, Nicolas and Renata, are attentive and provide excellent service. There's a green area where you can relax in nature, which is great for families with kids. The rooms are typical of a guesthouse, suited to sleeping and unwinding, especially since people come to Buzios for the beaches. There's no smart TV, but we didn't need one.

I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay at Casa 29. It's a very peaceful pousada with a warmth you don't find everywhere, and I'd definitely return. The owners take care of everything, and you can tell from the first day. Nico is around and attentive to the details, even fixing things himself. Renata, his wife, washes the sheets, towels, and comforters, and bakes incredible cakes for breakfast, some of the best I've had. Ani handles cleaning and breakfast, and she's a sweetheart, kind, helpful, and always ready to assist. I recommend it 100%.

A friend recommended the inn, and we'll be recommending it too. It's in a great spot: if you like walking, several beaches are easy to reach on foot. The main avenue is just a few blocks away, with vans to Búzios's best beaches and buses to Arraial do Cabo and Cabo Frio. The scenery is lovely, breakfast is delicious, and the staff are warm and friendly. We had a very pleasant vacation. The kitchen has an electric kettle, microwave, and sandwich maker, all working perfectly. Our room also had an air conditioner that cooled well and a small refrigerator.

Our vacation was ruined. The place looked nothing like the photos, and everything felt dirty and poorly maintained. The staff were filthy, the rooms had very few amenities, and there wasn't even a fan in the breakfast area. The pool shown in the photos was badly cared for, with green water. They charge to use the grill, which they also use to dry mattresses in the sun. The owner was unfriendly and took offense when we said we didn't like the place. Doors were slammed whenever staff were near us. We're from Argentina and arrived before check-in, but there was no shared bathroom where we could change and nowhere to leave our things while we waited. We left because the conditions were terrible, but they refused to refund either the booking or the breakfast fee, even though we didn't use the place at all.
