Pousada Vila Capri

The location is great, but the place itself was awful. During our 7-day stay, my family and I dealt with poor service and an inn that felt almost abandoned. Breakfast was very poor, and my room door lock didn’t work, so we had to force the door shut. There was so little hot water that we had to take extremely quick showers. For more than 4 days, the reception had no water. Whenever we asked when it would be back, we got the same answer, “the manager has seen it,” but nothing was fixed. Sometimes there wasn’t even anyone there to greet us. The pool was always full of leaves, rubbish, slime, and other debris, and the whole leisure area was dirty, old, and neglected. It’s nowhere near worth the price, and there are plenty of better options in Búzios. The place is practically abandoned and doesn’t even have a sign. If you can, stay away.

It has that Buziana feel, rustic and pleasant, with no luxury. Maria Clara deserves a special mention for being so attentive and making us feel at home. The location is especially good, the price is reasonable for the area, and they took care of anything we needed quickly. The shower pressure was low. The minibar didn’t work on the first day, but they fixed it quickly after we mentioned it. Breakfast had limited choices, though it tasted good.

A good spot if you want to stay close to Geribá beach. The room was simple, and so was breakfast, but the food was tasty. The reception staff were always friendly, especially one young man. The pool was the part I didn’t like much. We stayed for 3 days and I never saw it being cleaned; the water looked worse each day, even though it wasn’t raining. We only saw someone come to clean it on the day we left, probably for the weekend guests. We had stayed during the week.

The staff were so friendly, and their service was outstanding. It’s a relaxing place, with a lovely pool and a varied, complete breakfast. Our comfortable room had air conditioning and a small refrigerator with a freezer compartment that held quite a lot of food. The hotel is very quiet and in an excellent location, about an hour and a half from Praia Geriba.
