Pousada Villa Baoba

Nice staff, a good breakfast, and a very nice place.

The rooms are comfortable, and there’s a pool and sauna. The second floor is reached by a narrow little staircase, so take care if you have mobility problems. The pousada is lovely, with wonderful service from a caring team. Breakfast is basic, but everything is fresh.

We stumbled on this pousada by chance, and it turned out to be a great choice for the two days my family and I stayed. larrisa welcomed us so warmly right at reception. The rooms are simple but very clean, and breakfast was wonderful to me. All the staff were attentive and helpful. Just grateful for everything. We’ll be back soon and will recommend it without hesitation. Go without worries, you won’t regret it.

I picked this pousada because of the good ratings I saw here and on booking, and because I wanted somewhere I wouldn’t have problems. It’s beautiful, the kitchen staff made a wonderful breakfast every day, and our room was great apart from the shower, which had very little water and no pressure. On a day of heavy rain, the bathroom skylight couldn’t hold up and water got into the bathroom. Other than that, the room was fine. The bigger issue was communication. They say they’re available 24 hours, but unless you keep insisting, they don’t reply. When they do answer, they don’t know who you are or which room you’re in, even after you’ve stayed two days and already contacted them on the same WhatsApp channel. I chose a more expensive place among the booking pousadas because I thought I’d avoid problems, but I still had them. I’d rather have saved money if paying more meant I couldn’t get even basic communication as a paying guest. In the end, I changed pousadas because I couldn’t get answers to questions about services I wanted to pay for, and they couldn’t simply tell me yes or no.
