We stayed for four days last week, and the room was already spotless, tidy, and smelled lovely when we arrived. It’s a quiet place with good privacy and a great location near the center and waterfront. We walked to several beaches, including Azeda/Azedinha, Ossos, and João Fernandes, and my husband and I both really enjoyed our stay. Fernanda was very friendly and attentive, as was Pedro. He always explained the reservation details clearly, which makes a real difference.

Fernanda was very attentive, but I’d only suggest this place for a short stay for a couple wanting to be close to everything and pay a low price. I was there for work and found it just okay. Downstairs, the suites aren’t separate from one another. You enter what feels like a living room with an open kitchen, and there are four doors, one for each suite. I was alone and felt a bit uneasy; sometimes the motion sensor light didn’t come on. The bed was okay for someone small and light, but a bigger person might find it uncomfortable. The mattress had shifted by morning. The sheets also had a strong fabric softener smell. Some people may like that, but I prefer a lighter scent or none at all. There was no hand towel.

The place is just as it looks in the pictures. There are no surprises in either direction. The owners are easy to reach on WhatsApp and always get back to you. It’s also very conveniently located, two blocks from the waterfront and close to the center and beaches. If you like walking, you can get to several beaches on foot. There’s an Argentinian restaurant 30 meters away and two small grocery stores on the corner. If you’re Argentinian and on the fence about booking, I’d say go ahead.

The location is a real plus. You can walk to Praia dos Ossos, Azeda, Azedinha, and Rua das Pedras, and there are shops, small grocery stores, and a pharmacy nearby. The room is functional and works well for two people, with a comfortable bed, a well-cooled minibar, and a shower with good water pressure. It’s set up more like an Airbnb, with all contact handled on WhatsApp and no reception. There’s no breakfast, room service, or toiletries either. Cleaning was acceptable but could be better: the toilet had a strong urine odor, the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, and no one took out the trash. There was no hand towel, and the bath towels were worn and weren’t replaced. The air conditioner is new and cools well, but it’s a noisy window unit at lower temperatures. It sits below the bedroom window facing the bed, so having the air blow on you constantly gets uncomfortable, and you can’t adjust its direction.
