The room view makes the climb worthwhile. The hotel sits on a steep hillside, with two sharply inclined roads and then 102 steps to reach the room I was assigned. The staff were very friendly, and everything was clean. I liked breakfast, though some people may find it too basic. They also run daily transfers to the beach and city center.

At check-in, the staff had no idea about my request and made me pay for the full stay across our several rooms. They said only the hotel chain's office could change the booking and that I would have to ask them for a possible refund. Since then, neither the property nor the chain has answered my emails, and they've ignored Booking's messages too. The customer service was awful, and I feel completely scammed. A week before the stay, we had tried to shorten our reservation by one day. Booking's website only offered a free cancellation at that point, with no guarantee we'd get another room. For days I called and messaged Booking, the chain's central reservations team, and the inn. Each said one of the other parties had to make the change. In the end, they told us to sort it out with the property when we arrived.
