The location is right by the sea, with Rua do Mucugê an easy 15-minute walk away. Taxis are usually waiting outside at night, and breakfast was good, with savory items, fruit, and tapioca made to order. The staff were polite and helpful, but communication was lacking. The guesthouse and beach lounge share a name and space but aren’t connected, so guests get no lounge benefits beyond being nearby. That also means important updates don’t always reach guests. One day the lounge shut during the day for an evening party, then stayed closed for the next two days, without warning. The party ran from 5 p.m. to midnight and didn’t bother us. During our stay, the pool was also closed for two days while a wall was painted, along with the shared area with hammocks and sofas, and we weren’t told in advance. There’s loud music from the lounge roughly 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., plus a nearby bar with the same kind of music, so it gets noisy. The room was cozy, though the bed could be more comfortable. The shower had good pressure but sometimes suddenly became uncomfortably hot. We also found cockroaches in the room twice. Staff said the property is treated regularly, but with construction nearby they can’t control how the surrounding area handles pests. I’d recommend staying here if you want a lively scene with beach, drinks, and loud music. If you’re after peace and quiet, I’d look elsewhere.

The beach is stunning, with so many shades of blue, and the place itself is beautiful, comfortable, nicely decorated, and has a delicious breakfast overlooking the sea. The staff were exceptionally kind, and we felt very welcome. I loved the place and would return, even though the beach club was a real drawback. They don’t make it clear that Parador 7 is also a beach club, with loud music all day, mostly electronic. There’s no beach service, and using the chairs and umbrellas in front of the pousada requires a minimum spend of 500 or 1,000 reais, depending on which ones you choose. We picked the pousada for the convenience of being right by the beach, but ended up avoiding that area because of the music and high spending requirement. I went with my 3-year-old, who had a great time, especially in the nice pool with its shallow section. If it weren’t for the beach club, I’d want to move into this place!

The staff deserve a 10 for their service, but the breakfast was poor, with few choices. It might be fine for a stay of up to about three days. The beach kiosk isn’t part of the pousada. The room was small, with nowhere for suitcases or hooks to hang towels and other things, and the bathroom was tiny.

The pousada is new and attractive, with a good shower and internet. The room service was okay, and the staff were helpful, but the bed felt small and quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was a big letdown: very limited options and a short 8 to 9:30 a.m. window. The bread was always stale and hard. In all seven days I was there, not once was there fresh bread. The beach bar was another disappointment. Despite having exactly the same name, they said it had no connection to the pousada. Seating came with a minimum spend of 200 reais, and I think guests could have been offered a discount or a lower minimum. I wouldn’t stay here again. It felt too expensive for what you get, and there are pousadas in Arraial with better value.

Right in front of the sea, and the rooms were super comfortable. I liked it a lot, such a perfect place.
