It was super affordable and I had a great stay over a few days. The rooms are small but comfortable, with a little TV, bedside table, and refrigerator. Breakfast was simple but fresh, with lots of fruit, and downtown was only a few minutes away.

Sérgio, Teresa, and Rose were especially lovely and attentive, and we felt right at home. I stayed at Pousada Alto da Praia in Maio de 2026, and it was good value considering how close it is to Mucugê beach. The pousada is large and could use a few small repairs, like repainting the pool area, but those are minor details.

I was there in December of 2025. Sérgio, the owner, was very friendly and efficient. The air conditioning was new and working, and the bathroom was clean. The bed could have been a little bigger. Breakfast. People who have mobility issues may have problems because there are ramps and stairs now. Wheelchair users shouldn’t go. I recommend it.

Tereza, Sérgio, and Daniel made us feel so welcome, and the service was a perfect 10. We spent an incredible week at this peaceful place and left feeling recharged and grateful. It’s a simple, cozy pousada that delivers what it promises: a good location, pool, clean room, great bed, excellent air conditioning, and tasty breakfast. The town is beautiful too. We loved our days there.
