Pousada Casa Cajá

We didn’t want to leave. For everything included in the stay, the value for money was really good, and the thoughtful service, personal little treats, and attention to detail made it unforgettable. Just go. It was our first trip to arraial, and casa cajá was one of the places that came highly recommended. We had high expectations and were still pleasantly surprised. It’s hard to pick what we liked best: the spacious, very comfortable room with a lovely bed and beautiful, cozy decor; the large bathroom and strong shower; or the tasty breakfast with plenty of tapioca, juices, and local fruit that changed every day. The location was great too, very close to the city’s main street but still quiet, inside a small condominium.

The little touches made our stay at Casa Caja feel especially welcoming. When we got back to the room at night, there was tea and a thoughtful note waiting for us. Priscila and the whole team were attentive to every detail. Breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious, especially the tapiocas and omelets made to order. The inn itself is beautiful, newly renovated, warmly decorated, and our room had a very roomy bed and fresh, comfortable linens. I’d love to return to arraial and stay here again.

We’d choose this inn again next time. It’s gorgeous, carefully organized, and beautifully decorated, with a great breakfast and excellent service from the staff. It’s inside a very secure condominium, while still being close to the busy area. Congratulations to the owner!

The welcome note and tea at the end of our stay were a lovely surprise and captured the care we felt from the whole Pousada Casa Cajá team. Lenita welcomed us on our first day, and Jéssica and Priscila were also wonderful. Bia and the kitchen team made homemade breads, cakes, and desserts. Everything was clean, well organized, and on time, and breakfast had lots of food choices. The cozy setting and thoughtful details helped us feel at home from check-in through check-out.
