It’s well located and competently run, with a generous breakfast in both food and good conversation. Barega helped make a welcoming atmosphere, always interested in chatting with guests. That’s the best part of the place. Thanks, it was really worthwhile.

Cravo e Canela is a modest inn on a modest street, but it’s close enough to walk to the town center. The rooms are small, though clean, with air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The breakfast is delicious, with lots of dishes Barega makes himself. He’s a chef who’s worked around the world. My daughter is vegan, and he went out of his way to cook special dishes for her, then even gave her a vegan chocolate from Europe that belonged to him. He’d sit at the table with guests in the morning, and everyone got chatting together. Barega is so welcoming and attentive that it’s easy to feel at home. I really liked it!

Barega makes guests feel at home with that classic Minas Gerais hospitality. The inn is charming, cozy, very clean, and has a delicious breakfast with lots of variety. It’s also close to the historic center, restaurants, and squares. We had an exceptional stay, and I’ll definitely be back.
