The restaurant was good, the location is excellent, and the cleanliness was decent. But the bed was disposable, and breakfast was poor, with no choices and no water. At 1:38 on our last day, someone tried twice to get into our room. Luckily, my husband was near the door and stopped them. The lock uses a code. We called reception, and the employee who identified himself as R… said someone had told him our check-out was at 2:00. That explanation sounded strange, and we felt unsafe.

The location and view were the best parts of our stay, and the hotel itself was very good. The room’s air conditioner was old and so noisy it kept us from sleeping. Every night we’d switch it on before bed, turn it off, wake up hot, then turn it back on again. Communication was hard because the reception staff spoke only Portuguese and didn’t make much effort to understand us. The shower gave me a slight shock when I tried to adjust the temperature. I tried to explain so they could help, but it took a long time for them to understand.
