The staff were attentive and helpful, and the small pool was clean. The rest of the stay felt pretty basic for what they charged, even allowing for the New Year's period. Breakfast was extremely limited, with the same things every day. Even the juice came from powder, and the black coffee was poor quality, with few choices. There was nowhere to put clothes in the room, and the air conditioner had no remote, so we had to operate it on the unit. Waking up cold in the middle of the night meant getting up to turn it off. They wouldn't provide the Wi-Fi password. I'd never stayed somewhere that didn't offer that service before. 😳

The staff were so attentive, and both the room and bathrooms were very clean. Breakfast was great too, with fresh cakes. The inn is in an excellent location. We'll definitely come back, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday stay in Arraial.

The reception girls were nice and gave lots of tips for outings. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the location was great, close to Praia Grande and everything else. The rest was a mess. The pool was filthy and green, the stairs were very dirty, and the cleaning overall was poor. Staff looked unhappy to be there. Breakfast was very basic, with a roll that tasted strange, and the 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. hours were awkward when tours start early. There were hardly enough tables for the guests, and some people had to eat outside. The air conditioner was so loud it sounded like a tractor. The short curtain let in lots of light, and the other window had a sheet hanging over it. There was only one sheet and no blanket, so we were cold at night. Water leaked from the shower stall and soaked the bath mat. The water smelled and tasted strange when bathing or brushing our teeth. There was no mini fridge or wardrobe in the room. The door handle kept sticking and was awful to open, until the key even broke. The parking wasn't available, so we had to leave the car on the street. For the price, I expected better facilities and cleanliness. I've paid the same for great hotels with full board. This place needs urgent maintenance and a really thorough clean.
