There are several beaches in the state of Rio De Janeiro with clear, warm water, and the location is attractive.

The sand is amazing, the water is super clear, and there's lots of room on the beach to play soccer or volleyball. It's easy to get to, and there was a lifeguard on duty. The one downside was how many vendors came over trying to sell services while we were relaxing.

I loved the wildlife here. Birds dive for fish, and we often saw turtles surface for air with fish swimming all around. The far end of the beach has fewer people and more space, though vendors are around for whatever you need. Eduardo at the far end made us feel welcome and was there to help. Ask for him. Cold coconut water on the beach in Brazil is hard to beat, and the mahi mahi, also called dorado, and the Brazilian burger were both excellent. The water is warm, the nature is amazing, and there are bathrooms on site, plus a paid one at the inn at the far end. Bring snorkel gear and take the short walk to gracainha beach to swim with the huge turtles. It’s unbelievable.

The beach is still beautiful, but the crowds made it hard to relax. There were people and cars everywhere, with overcrowding at the beach, in the streets, parking, and even the supermarket. The streets had trash, and it felt like the town couldn't keep up with tourism. Finding a parking spot was incredibly difficult, and the town gave tickets even where there were no 'no parking' signs. I came hoping for a relaxed beach visit, and this place didn't give me that. It has the potential to be amazing, and I hope the town can keep up with tourism and maintain its beauty. Such a shame.
