Pousada Realeza

Great.

We spent New Year’s 2025/2026 at the pousada and had a really good time. The New Year’s Eve dinner was wonderful, and the hall had a DJ who kept the party going late into the night. The outdoor space among the trees is beautiful, the pool is very good, and the food is simple but has a tasty homemade touch that makes you go back for more. Breakfast was complete, and there was afternoon coffee too, though I don’t know if that’s offered at every time of year. A few things need attention: the pool table in the games room is uneven and missing balls and cues, so it needs renovation. At the outdoor lookout, the pallet benches have exposed nails that could easily hurt someone, especially a child. The rooms, particularly the more secluded ones near the woods, need more effective pest control. We saw about three large spiders under the bed on the day we left. Still, these seem easy enough to fix, and we recommend visiting. We’ll be back.

Animals are welcome and can roam freely there, which was great. We arrived late, but Bruno was waiting for us at reception and gave us a very warm welcome. When they saw that we had a baby and a dog, they moved us to a room closer to the kitchen and pool. The food was always wonderful, and there was plenty of it. Rita, who manages the kitchen, is lovely. A 10 from start to finish. Well worth a visit!

The food is simple, but really tasty and plentiful, and there’s afternoon coffee too. The photos match what the place is actually like, and it’s beautiful. My wife, our little dog, and I stayed in room 06 at Vila Pinus. It was spacious and clean, had a great shower, and that particular room has a wonderful view. The service was exceptional. Everyone was polite and attentive and did all they could to make guests happy, including Bruno, Rô, Regina, Rita, Andrea, and the others whose names I can’t remember. Our dog loved the space and didn’t even want to go home.
