Sérgio, who owns Porto, made a wonderful tapioca fresh for me. He usually offers, but be sure to ask for one. What stood out most was his hospitality. He’s such a good guy, made us feel at home, and helped us a lot when we were trying to arrange a tour. The inn is simple but in a really convenient spot. The Rio Grandense and Opcional Linha 2 buses from Natal pass right in front, and you can just ask them to stop. Our room was clean and smelled fresh. Breakfast has less variety than at some larger places, but it covered everything we needed: bread, tapioca, cheese, ham, fruit, coffee, milk, juice, tea, and extras like jam and requeijão.

The Arraiá broth was the highlight for me, and easily the best broth I’ve ever had. The wood-fired oven makes a real difference to the pizza, and the price felt fair. Pizza prices have gone up recently, but not by anything unreasonable, especially with so few options around. We had a pizza, broth, a liter of Coca, a drink, and a beer for under R$97,00. Well worth the money, and definitely worth checking out!

Sérgio gave us a really warm welcome. His oyster broth might be the best on the planet, though that’s up for debate, and the shrimp pastry was excellent too. The owner, Sérgio, might even give you a free therapy session. It’d only be more heavenly if he gave me free beer.
