Our experience was really bad. I emailed before arrival to say it was my wife’s birthday and ask whether they could put balloons in our room. I never got a reply, and there were no balloons. My wife later emailed the hotel manager with a complaint while we were staying there and got no response either. The hotel is old, and nobody at reception speaks English. Our toilet clogged, the shower and sink drained very slowly, and there was no hot water until they sent someone to fix it. The phone didn’t work, so we couldn’t call reception, and the hair dryer was broken. The Wi-Fi signal was weak and painfully slow when it connected. It was noisy, with street and hallway sounds coming through. There was no coffee machine in the room, just a small fridge without a minibar. The pool is tiny, and the elevator doesn’t go to that floor, so you have to climb a spiral staircase. The gym is a small, basic room on the ground floor, even though all the signs say it’s on the 12th floor.

The room had a little balcony and a comfortable bed facing the beach, and breakfast was decent and included. I liked the location and the stay overall. We were there in the low season, so the pool and roof deck were being renovated. One night a big storm came through, and some rain seeped in around one of the windows.

Our three-person room at Hotel Bhally was split into two areas. One had a large bed, TV, and minibar; the other had two single beds, another TV, and its own minibar. Both sides had separate air conditioning. The hotel is right across from the ocean and worked well for a vacation. Breakfast was tasty, though the selection could be better.
