Hotel Miramar

The room had an awful view, and the AC wasn't working. We left the bathroom window open for ventilation while we were out during the day, but when we returned the room smelled terrible. After I complained, they said it was because of the "fossa" outside the window. On the first day, there was hair on the shower floor and walls. The cleaning lady also came into the room while we were at breakfast, even though we hadn't put out the sign asking for cleaning. We were planning to return to the room before going out, and when we came back after breakfast to get our things ready, she was still there and couldn't really explain why. It wasn't a good experience, definitely not a 4-star stay. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

The staff deserve five stars on their own. Customer service was top-notch, the rooms were clean, and it's pet-friendly. But the booking site information is inaccurate and misleading: there was nobody available to pet-sit, and service animals aren't free. I also paid extra for a Seaview suite, but the view was tiny and you had to stretch to see even that. It wasn't worth paying more to see almost nothing. The first picture below shows the ocean from the only window with a view.

Miramar's staff were excellent, from reception to the waiters, and everyone was super friendly. The hotel has some years on it, but it's been kept in good condition.

We were extremely happy with our stay. The staff were excellent, and the location is great. It can get loud outside, though, since it's in The beach Center and the restaurants stay open late.
