Pousada Louise

Just got back, and that place was a disaster. We booked two nights and stayed on the second floor, where they never mentioned there was only one shared bathroom per floor. They don't clean it, and the third floor doesn't even have a shower. The water came straight from a tap, and the electrical hookup didn't work, so we had to use a bathroom with urine splashed on the floor. The toilet only had cold water and wasn't working properly. No towels or soap were provided, and nothing was cleaned. There were cockroaches everywhere. Check-in is at the Mar Hotel, half a block away. Don't go.

The rooms are basic, but they have the essentials. The other guests were a real problem: people smoked in the bathrooms and left without flushing after using the toilet. The management definitely knows because it keeps happening. They need to start holding those responsible accountable.

I wouldn't recommend it. The service was awful, and the woman managing the night shift was really rude.

It was quiet and felt safe, with a calm atmosphere. The location was good, and everything was very clean. My room was lovely, with a TV, air conditioning, and a minibar. There were plenty of clean bathrooms too. I liked it!
