Vila Galé Alagoas - All Inclusive

The overall experience was positive, and we had a lot of fun. The staff were friendly and joking around, and the entertainment was good. The hotel sits on a beautiful beach with clean sand and only small waves, with nice cliffs nearby. Its location is above average compared with other resorts in northeastern Brazil. The rooms are comfortable and flawless. Wi-Fi is fast when it works, but unstable, which cost it a star. Some things need attention for a hotel in this category. The beers, including some imports, all taste too similar. With so many people who enjoy hoppy craft beer these days, there should be at least one different option. The red wine from Alentejo, Portugal is good, but it comes almost at zero degrees C from bottles kept in ice. Chilling wine in the tropical climate makes sense, but it should still be served around 16 C. The special restaurants on site disappointed us, except for “Inevitable,” and requests were sometimes ignored. “Cervejaria Portugal” didn’t have a single Portuguese beer or any other special beer. The kids had a lot of fun, and we enjoyed the great food, tidy rooms, and lovely beach. The entertainment team puts in a real effort every day, and the staff do everything they can to help whenever even a small issue comes up. Excellent hotel, fully recommend!

The hotel lost power three times in one day, and the Wi-Fi was extremely unstable. I’ve never stayed somewhere with a connection this poor: streaming was out of the question, video calls were impossible, and even sending a WhatsApp message was difficult. A decent connection is the bare minimum for a hotel, so I wouldn’t recommend it. A local SIM for mobile data won’t help either, since no Brazilian carrier has coverage here.
