Hotel das Palmeiras

There was plenty of space, and we were welcomed warmly by attentive staff. Our car could be parked right outside the room. The large pool was lovely, and everything was clean and smelled fresh. The shower had hot water, and there was air conditioning and Wi-Fi too.

The hotel is in a good location, has a decent setup, and the staff were pleasant and polite. But it needs care and attention. The room had mold on the walls and was dirty, the bathroom had hair left by previous guests, and the doors and frames were damaged. The shower sprayed water all over the bathroom, though the person showering stayed dry. The towels seemed washed, but smelled very bad. The place looked nothing like the promotional photos. I asked for a refund for the night and moved to another hotel, and that part went smoothly. A little more care would make a big difference.

The pool was wonderful, and I really enjoyed my stay. I was greeted warmly, and the staff were very attentive and polite. Both the room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and smelled fresh.

The hotel is near the city's main avenue, a gas station, and a few restaurants. There's parking right in front of your room, and there's a pool. Dogs are allowed too, which is useful if you need to travel with one. It seems like a decent place to stop on a trip or for another reason, and I’d rate it 4.3 overall, maybe 4.8 with some improvements. Service was good. You can ask to have your room cleaned, and the cleaning itself was fine, but they used so much bleach that it irritated my eyes. They should use less. Breakfast was very basic, but enough. The room was around 15 square meters, with a minibar, a double bed, another bed, air conditioning, a TV, and a bathroom. Honestly, it was missing a showerhead. In my room, everything was painted white, including the wardrobe, which looked a little odd when you looked up. A different wall color or design could help. It's only a small detail, though.
