Suíte Rio de Ondas 1

We were looking for a welcoming place to stay on our trip from Brasília to Teresina, and found pousada suítes rios de ondas( chácara amor e paz) in barreiras-BA. On Saturday 21.09.2024, the owner spoke to us disrespectfully and rudely after we asked whether it was okay to use the river behind the property. She said there was no problem, but when we came back to the room she accused us of asking sarcastically. We weren't, we just wanted to know the rules and whether swimming in the river was dangerous. She also said we hadn't followed our responsibility with our pet, even though our dog had been on a leash the whole time. Her own dog wasn't leashed, which seemed normal for a gentle dog like ours. We felt so uncomfortable that we had to leave and find somewhere else at 13h, despite having paid through 22.09.2024 on Booking. We packed up and searched for another place so we could rest and continue our trip. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to any traveler.

The place is a bit far from the center, so there aren't many dinner options nearby, though there's a small shop with basic things close by. Guests can use the kitchen at the chácara, which helps. The grounds are even prettier in person, with lots of trees, and everything was clean and well cared for. Our host Rose was very kind, and pets are accepted with a reservation at no extra cost. It's just past the bridge on the right. We loved our stay and recommend it.

Such a lovely place, with a warm welcome and clean, cozy rooms at a low price. Just bring your own food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's a kitchen and a leisure area with a grill, so you won't regret staying here 👏🏻❤️

The owner made us feel like family and really cared about her guests' comfort. It was a very peaceful stay, and I'd come back if I needed to. Excellent place!
