For what it costs, this hotel delivers what it promises. The room was good, breakfast was good, and the AC worked. It's a simple place.

The huge rat that came into our room at night was the worst part, but there were problems throughout the stay. The hotel has a beautiful view and a lot of potential, yet the management is terrible. It clearly needs maintenance and more care for its guests. The bedspreads were stained, one bed was badly damaged by termites, and water leaked out of the shower enclosure. At 10 pm we asked to move rooms because of the rat. The replacement room was less comfortable than the first, which wasn't very good to begin with. Then the AC started making noise at 11:30 pm, and we couldn't sleep all night. You might wonder why we didn't ask to move again. There was no staff around. We walked through the whole hotel, and after 11 pm the employees had gone home, leaving guests to look after the place. We had no one to guide us or arrange another room. If something happens to you or your children there, you'll have to deal with it yourselves. Breakfast wasn't among the best either, though that's a small issue beside the safety concerns and everything else.

Our room looked out over the river, and the view was wonderful. The place is clearly simple, but for the price the quality is a 10/10, and breakfast was fantastic. There are three of us friends, and the staff were very friendly. I don't understand the negative reviews. You can't expect a five-star hotel at this price, and I'd definitely come back. Thank you, Hotel Beira Río! 🥰
