Hotel Papaya

The receptionist's service was the one good part of our stay, and I want to thank her for that. The stay itself was a waste of money, and we slept unhappy with the experience. When we arrived, a young man seemed completely unwilling to welcome us, and the wait was absurdly long. The air conditioning in the room barely worked, and it took a while to get it sorted out. The shower stall smelled bad, the toilet barely worked and leaked when flushed, and a loose metal piece on the bathroom window fell into the sink while we were changing. The pool was disgusting, with grease, hair, leaves, slime, and foam coming off the edges when I stood in it. It smelled strongly of chlorine, maybe to cover the other smells. I asked the reception man to check it, but he didn't move or show any concern. At breakfast, the juice was powdered and pure sugar, though the woman there insisted it had no sugar. Another guest told me there had even been a cockroach in her room. It's unacceptable to pay for this, and I'll make sure to review you on Booking and Google. Again, the receptionist was great, but the service and the place itself were terrible.
