Lençóis Prime Hotel

Don’t be fooled by how this place looks. The Wi-Fi was always slow and basically impossible to use, and several outlets didn’t work. There was nowhere in the room or bathroom to hang clothes or towels. The shower didn’t work, and getting it sorted was such a hassle that, after insisting, I had to shower in another room. Breakfast had very little choice, dirty tables, and not even cups set out. There was no blanket in the room. When I asked on the first night, none was available; on the second, they brought one that looked like a dog mat and barely covered me. A disgrace. Terrible hotel. I hope the owners deal with this soon, or they deserve to go bankrupt.

Eduarda and Caíque deserve a mention, they saved our stay. The hotel itself is new, but it’s far from the center, so we needed to use 99 for everything. Our room smelled bad; on the second day we traced it to the sink. Covering it and shutting the bathroom door helped a little. There were no hangers or hooks for clothes, and the small piece of furniture could only fit one open suitcase, leaving the rest on the floor. We were near reception, so conversations in the hall and at the desk came through clearly. Breakfast could be better. Several items were missing on our last day, and the restaurant never opened, even as a fallback.

The pool was wonderful, and all the staff were attentive. Leandro from the kitchen was especially lovely and won us over with his warmth. We stayed as a family for seven days, and the flexible check-in helped a lot since we arrived early. I understand they’re expanding to serve guests better, but there are a few things they could improve: the rooms need somewhere for clothes and rubbish. The space fits just one open suitcase, so extra bags end up on the floor, and the only bin is a tiny one in the bathroom. A games room would be good too. It’s a little far from central Barreirinhas, with nothing nearby, but the 99 app made getting back and forth easy. Breakfast could use a few more choices, like different fruits and pão de queijo.

The staff were extremely polite, which was a bright spot. The hotel has structural issues, the shower kept failing, and the internet was poor. The manager refused to see us, and we could hear her talking before she eventually came to receive us.
