There was a nice open area with lots of plants and trees.

Breakfast, included in the price, runs from 7:00 to 9:00 and has fresh fruit and juice, bread, eggs, cakes, coffee, and tea. The owner kindly let us check out late without charging extra. The center, with its shops and restaurants, is about a 10-15 minute walk away. The property consists of several chalets among the greenery, though they're fairly close together. Rooms are average in size and have a small fridge, TV, and brand new split AC. We thought the mattress could be better, and a chair in the room would be useful.

The rooms are pretty bare bones for sleeping, but they have AC and on a trip like this you don't spend much time there. The staff were very friendly and booked everything I needed. I could also pay by credit card right at the pousada, which was a big help in a place where few ATMs work.

The cabins were comfortable and clean, and breakfast was good. It's a very nice place with lots of gardens, and the staff are really friendly.

A good spot to stay in Barreirinhas, and not too far from downtown.
