Pousada Teixeira

Even in the low season, when the lagoons were quite empty, we had an amazing outing with beautiful scenery and lots of photos. We knew it was the dry season, but those were the vacation dates we could get from work. It was my first trip to Maranhão and I loved it. The people here work hard and don't let bad conditions get in their way. Pousada Teixeira made the trip easy from the start. I'm from Rio de Janeiro, and they kept in touch, explained everything clearly, and were right on time. They answered questions about tours as well as places for lunch and snacks. The pool was spotless, and breakfast was simple but tasty and typical, especially the macaxeira cake, which was unlike any I'd had before. Everyone provided top-notch help and service. Congratulations to the whole team. I'll come back and definitely recommend it!

We stayed from the 10th to the 12th this weekend, and I loved how peaceful and pretty the inn was. It's about a 10-minute drive from the center of barrerinhas. If you don't have a car, Uber there is only by motorcycle. The couple, Sr. LINDON and his wife, were lovely and attentive. There are adult and children's pools, and even a pool table. After coming back from the dunes, a swim was perfect. The room was good, with clean, nice beds and sheets, regular TV channels, a hot shower, and air conditioning that cooled well. The minibar worked great, and you can put drinks in the freezer, though they turn to ice if you don't take them out. There was a little balcony where I could dry my clothes, and reception sells some drinks. Breakfast was home-style, simple and tasty, with lots to choose from: fruit juice, cheese, ham, cakes, couscous, yogurt, granola, coffee, milk, cheese bread, sweet and savory biscuits, mini croissants, snacks, and several kinds of bread. They even had strawberry QUIK, which took me back to childhood. Fresh fruit juice felt like a luxury since it's usually bottled or powdered. I really recommend the inn.

The rooms and pool were both great, and everyone was attentive and helpful. When I needed an early check-in, they accommodated me right away.

They welcomed us so warmly, and Bruna was always ready to help. Breakfast was wonderful, with several fruits and juices and very well-made tapioca. The place was clean, comfortable, cozy, and organized. I'd absolutely recommend it, and we'll be back. Just grateful!
