We were left feeling humiliated on our last day. We had to check out at noon even though we needed to leave for the airport at 4 p.m., then use an appalling bathroom outside and open our suitcases in the garden to get changed. We only found out after leaving that we had paid for an extra night and could have stayed in the room until noon the next day. Nobody told us. When we called to ask for a refund for the unused night, they refused. Keeping money for a service we didn’t receive felt dishonest. The mix-up started with our booking: because the flights were in the early hours, my wife got the dates wrong and paid for three nights instead of two. We arrived around 9 a.m., before check-in, and paid R$ 15,00 per person to have breakfast. The rooms are very basic and breakfast is poor, with hardly anything to choose from. You’re also isolated from town without your own vehicle. There are no ride-hailing cars such as Uber or 99 in the city, and taxis charge R$ 30,00 each way. Going out for a snack and a walk in the center at night would cost R$ 60,00. A terrible experience.

We loved the place, the rooms, the service, and the breakfast. I was there with my husband and our baby, and whenever I needed to make her bottle they let me use the kitchen. I could also ask for fruit outside breakfast hours, and they gave me some for her. The only thing I wasn’t so sure about was the distance, since it’s a little far away. But you can just take an Uber to the center. We’ll be back! Congratulations to Seu Paulo, his wife, and everyone who works there.

There’s nowhere nearby to eat or shop, and getting to the center cost us R$ 60,00 every day. The location is awful, they should offer a transfer. The rooms are small, with no room for suitcases except on the floor. Breakfast is full of flies, which is unsanitary.

A peaceful, cozy pousada with attentive staff. It’s a bit far from the center, but you can book tours right there. Breakfast is simple, complete, and very good.
