Blue Tree Towers Bauru

Compared with other hotels I've stayed at, this was one of the best, though I liked blue tree gardens more. The rooms there were bigger, and breakfast was better. Parking was the main problem: they don't have cameras to see if you've arrived, so you have to get out, ask them to open the garage, then hurry back to your car to park. Breakfast was good but short on variety. I couldn't eat half the savory options because they all had pork, so I stuck to eggs and a grilled cheese sandwich. There were a couple of cakes too, but I'm not much for sweets.

The rooms have an amazing view of that part of town. I also liked the hotel's charming, comfortable common areas and the vintage look in the decor, while everything still felt clean and modern. Little touches make it stand out, like the free coffee machine at reception and event monitors instead of plain paper notices. The meeting rooms are spacious and practical, and the staff are always polite and available when you need them.

The room was okay, and breakfast was okay too. The pool was basically a big bath and was dirty when I was there, and the parking felt like a bit of a scam. Check-in and check-out were very slow. The staff were helpful, but there just weren't enough of them. Check-in alone took about 30 minutes.

The rooms were excellent, but the front desk staff need more training. I got put on hold twice while asking for a bucket of ice for the Champagne. In the end, I had to leave my 120 US$ room and go to the lobby to get it myself.
