Hotel Catarina Bauru

I had a good stay. The hotel was clean and organized, the area was peaceful, and breakfast had a good range of options.

The location is really good and the price was pretty nice, but that’s about all. I paid for a night and arrived at 11:20 p.m., only to find that my reservation wasn’t in the system, even though I’d confirmed it on WhatsApp. When I got into the room, the beds had been used, and there was bathroom trash with a beer can in it. I called reception, and the attendant, who seemed to think he deserved a higher position, simply said there was no other room and asked if I wanted a refund. So, on a Saturday at midnight, I was basically left to go find somewhere to stay. A total letdown. Maybe he’d let some driver buddy rest there and had to rush him out when a guest showed up.

It wasn’t a great stay. The room was very dirty and tiny, and I had to switch rooms because the shower had no water. Breakfast was good, though.

The shower was broken in my room, so I had a cold shower when I arrived. I told the receptionist about it the next day, then went to work, but when I came back in the late afternoon it was still cold and nobody had fixed it. The room was very dirty, with a cockroach infestation and filthy walls, and it simply wasn’t cleaned every day. I tried staying at this hotel more than once, but I was disappointed every time. I won’t be back.
