Tulip Inn Bauru

The pool water was dark and there was sludge on the wall. The gym was extremely hot, and the air conditioner there couldn't keep up, it felt like a sauna. Breakfast was simple and fine, but I had to pick through the cutlery because of the cleanliness. The towels were thin and seemed worn, though maybe they're just poor quality. This is a new hotel, but it seems badly managed. There were marks from previous guests everywhere I looked: a crusty bathroom sink, fingerprints on the glass and mirrors, and something dripped down the headboard. The bathroom light was out, and reception said maintenance wasn't available on weekends. I had to ask them to refill the empty soap dispensers and replace the batteries in the remotes. In some shared areas, we found staff asleep during their break, and they didn't seem happy. I came away with a bad impression because it's a new property in the Tulip chain, a chain I'd never had any complaints about before. I saw reviews from a month earlier praising the high cleaning standards, so maybe I was unlucky, but it was a very bad experience.

The rooms were spotless and the hotel is well equipped. In person, the reception service was also flawless. What bothered me was how long it took to get the invoices for my stay and other spending. I understand delays caused by SEFAZ, especially the city government, but I had to keep messaging the online reception and chasing them for help. They still struggled to sort it out. The operation needs to move faster, with quicker, more useful replies. Online communication is really poor.

We stayed in an apartment facing the Aeroclube, and the rooms were spacious with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, and you're close to some great restaurants. The hotel feels brand new and has the best view in the city. It's wonderful, and the best value in town by far. Highly recommend!

From the rooftop, you get a unique view of the city and the Aeroclube. There's also a restaurant up there with a classic menu, very good food, and a pleasant atmosphere. The architecture and location are excellent, on the highest spot in town. It's worth staying here, and the food space is also worth a visit. There's a great venue for parties and events too.
