The hotel is in a convenient spot in a quiet area, but I left disappointed. I paid for a room with air conditioning, and it didn’t work when I tried to use it. I told reception, but they didn’t fix it or show any real concern. On top of that, water dripped into the room and soaked my charger and hair straightener, as well as the floor. I expected more.

I enjoyed the stay. At first I missed having breakfast included, but people who visit Belém like to have breakfast at Ver-o-Peso. I recommend it.

A very basic, poor place, and the service is the only thing that saves it. Dona Valdira, Helena and Gilson were really good. The location is central, but feels very strange at night. The rooms are extremely simple for the price. There’s no electric shower or generator, and when the power went out for several hours I was left in the dark without internet. I had to change rooms twice. The first one was a dump in the middle of the service area, whatever you do, don’t take room 17! The second was okay, but near the stairs. Guests were drinking and making a racket in the early hours, so I couldn’t sleep. I complained, and an employee said that’s just how it is. I only managed to move rooms because the noisy guests were kind, and we worked out a swap.
