Antonio and the staff were incredibly kind and patient with me, even though I’m a total beginner in Portuguese. The hotel was spotless, breakfast was tasty and generous, and the location was convenient. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable too. I stayed six nights and would recommend it to anyone visiting BH without hesitation.

The staff were nice and helpful, and breakfast was adequate. The room was better than I’d expected.

The people are what make São Bento special. Valeria checked us in and made sure our requests were handled, Isabel remembered us from our visit the year before, and Antonio Luiz went out of his way to help with airport transport and breakfast. The room was on the small side but tidy, with comfortable bedding, a closet with a safe, and enough surfaces for our things. There are several security cameras. We had a comfortable night in Belo Horizonte, and could walk to the bus terminal and both the old and new markets.
