ibis budget Belo Horizonte Savassi

The rooms were comfortable, the beds were great, and the location was very good. We also got a nice surprise from the tasty week-night buffet. The staff were helpful and pleasant, and overall we had a pleasant stay. Room care and quality checks were a letdown across our two consecutive stays, with two rooms each time. Little problems kept adding up: one room was missing a bed cover, there was used soap in the shower when we arrived, a tap had no filter, and the fridge was set to minimum but froze our water bottles. One window was partly broken and wouldn’t close properly. Hot water worked on and off at times, and shower caps were provided inconsistently.

Leaving our bags in a locker after checkout was the best part. It meant I could walk around without worrying about carrying all my luggage, a 10 for that service. It was my second visit to Belo Horizonte, and I chose Hotel Ibis Savassi again for its location and service. I didn’t try breakfast, but the room was just as promised, with a comfortable bed, a nice shower and good cleanliness. I stayed for a weekend and was on the 5th floor. The corridors could’ve been cleaner. Guests don’t always use good sense, I know, but it was unpleasant to see a pile of rubbish, an empty water bottle and a pizza box, left outside the neighboring room all night until the cleaning service came the next day.

Our group includes people from different parts of the world, and everyone loves staying here. The rooms are comfortable, the location is good, and the staff are super friendly and efficient. They even remember our names and greet us each time we walk in.

Good value, and the location is great.
