Breakfast was one of the highlights, it was very good and had plenty of choice. The room itself was pleasant too, with a comfortable bed, shower, sheets and towels. The hotel is beside the highway and works well for visiting Vale dos Vinhedos, since there’s access to the valley without having to drive along the busy highway. There was a musty smell in the room. I asked for an air freshener, but they didn’t have one. They offered to move me, though I was only staying one night and chose not to. Room service is another thing they could improve: if you want water, you have to get it at reception. The minibar was switched off and empty. We considered having dinner at the hotel, but guests have to pick it up at reception too, rather than having it brought to the room. And each item bought there, like water or chocolate, has to be paid for right away. You can’t add it to the room and settle the bill at checkout. With no minibar, even getting thirsty means getting dressed, going downstairs and fetching water.

The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast had a good range for this kind of hotel. The location is great, near the entrance to Vale dos Vinhedos and Caminhos de Pedra, and the nightly rate is appealing compared with other hotels and inns in the same category. But sound carries terribly. We could hear nearby guests talking, watching TV, showering and even snoring. The minibar door had been left open when we arrived, and later we found a huge puddle in the room. We asked reception to clean it, but it took a long time for anyone to come. At breakfast during the busy period, staff couldn’t keep things restocked, so we were left with scraps.

The people were the best part of our weekend in Bento. Everyone was polite and attentive, and the rooms were a decent size. Still, there were little spiders in our room, and the walls behind the curtains in my parents’ and my Dinda’s room were completely moldy, with a very strong smell. We stayed because it was only one night. Breakfast was just okay. For the condition of the place and what it offered, the nightly rate was VERY expensive. Such a shame.

The building has a good setup, but it was extremely dirty. After arriving tired from our trip, check-in was already a bad experience. The room was disappointing too: musty smell, hair on the floor, and a dirty bathroom with splashes on the walls. There wasn’t even liquid soap for a proper shower. Breakfast had very few options and tiny portions, and the dishes were filthy. For me, the worst part was lipstick marks on the glasses and old fruit stuck to plates. We had to go somewhere else for breakfast. The only decent moment was checking out.
