The location worked well, with the beach a block away and restaurants, bakeries, cafes, and pharmacies nearby. The reception staff were very polite, and the heated pool was decent, if nothing special. Breakfast was okay too. The cakes and other things apparently made at the inn were delicious, though the packaged items like the pão de queijo weren’t as good. We were unlucky with our room, since the others in our group didn’t have the same problems, so I’m taking that into account. At first, parking was confusing. The listing said there was a space, but fixed spots are reserved for the pricier suites. The few spaces in front are first come, first served, and everyone else parks on the street. Finding a street spot wasn’t hard, but I wouldn’t call that a parking space. Our room was also released an hour after the stated check-in time. They said they’d let us know when it was ready, but we happened to be waiting right outside it and saw that cleaning had finished a while earlier. Even after we asked several times, nobody told us. The room smelled strongly of mold, and there were mold stains on the sheet and pillowcases. I slept wearing a mask so I wouldn’t wake up with an irritated throat or nose. Leaving the window open helped a little the next day, and when we asked to move rooms, they did it right away.

We stayed in room 25 last week, and it was a good size for four of us, two adults and two kids. Everything was clean, including the room, bedding, and towels. The air conditioning cooled the room quickly, and the reception team were extremely helpful and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, with food and bread being replenished even though we ate early. The chicken empadinha was especially good. The pool was very clean, and someone was always cleaning it. We used it during the day and at night. One small thing, it only gets warm in the evening, and they turn on the waterfall feature only on weekends. I do think room cleaning should happen from the first full day, not just the second. We brought sand in and sometimes came back wet from the pool. Still, we loved our stay and will definitely return.

This was a bad stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it. The shower didn’t work, and after three visits to check it, they still couldn’t fix it. The air conditioning wouldn’t turn off or let us change the temperature. Parking was first come, first served, even though we paid nearly 1,000 for one room for a night. The breakfast dishes were dirty, and breakfast was served in the same area as the kitchen, so we had to eat while smelling fried food. The manager was never available, leaving the receptionist and maintenance workers to deal with things. On the third attempt to sort out the shower, they sent over a construction worker from the inn’s renovation.
