Cozy and clean, with a really warm welcome. I’ve stayed there three times and have nothing to complain about. Everyone is very attentive.

A comfortable, peaceful place with parking and plenty of local shops around.

The location worked well for us, with the municipal hospital practically across the street and lots of food options nearby, from Japanese restaurants and burger places to a pizzeria, bakery, and markets. The main avenue makes it easy to get around by car, bike, public transport, or on foot. The beach and sights like Forte São João, Parque dos Tupiniquins, and the fish market are close too. For a quiet family or group stay with good value, I’d recommend this inn, though a few things could use improvement. We were happy with the accommodation itself. It was clean and tidy when we arrived, the compact kitchen was useful, and both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious. Bedding and bath linens were provided. The owners give guests a key with a TAG for the main gate, and there are cameras, motion sensors, and electric fencing around the property. Wi-Fi, TV, and streaming all worked perfectly. There were some drawbacks. The furniture is old, especially the double bed and sofa, which were hard and uncomfortable. The Booking.com listing mentioned a coffee maker or kettle, but we found only a pot and strainer and had to buy a filter. We also missed having someone show us around and explain things. We only got Wi-Fi access at the end of the first day, and the TV remote arrived the day after we did. During our three-day stay in June, we didn’t see any staff at reception, possibly because it was low season, and that worried us. They do provide a WhatsApp contact for questions or emergencies. For bookings made through WhatsApp, you have to pay a 30% deposit to hold the accommodation and settle the balance at the property. They take credit cards but don’t offer installments, unlike other places we looked at, so I’d set aside enough money beforehand.

Dona Val was such a lovely person, and the apartment was beautifully decorated and clean. It had towels, bedding, a soft fluffy blanket, a microwave, TV with Netflix, a hot shower, pots, plates, cups, and cutlery. I had a great stay and will be back.
