The main problem for me was the noise at night. People talked loudly, dogs barked, and children screamed in the common areas, while the staff didn’t seem bothered and there were no signs asking guests to keep quiet. I didn’t have a smooth two-night stay, and earplugs are a good idea if you decide to go. The place has a calm river and beautiful mountain scenery behind it, and it seemed clean and organized. Breakfast was good, too. The staff weren’t especially welcoming, though, and seemed uneasy when we started loading our car before checking out. Our room had no hair dryer, and the very wet towels weren’t replaced when the room was serviced. The small outdoor pool wasn’t heated, and there were lots of dead bugs in it. Dogs seem to be welcome, which disappointed me.

I liked the river view and the animals around the property, from cats and capybaras to geese and ducks. The pool was closed because of the “cold” weather, but I still had a nice one-night stay. There weren’t any coffee makers or irons in the room, unfortunately. It’s a small, rustic inn with a cozy, friendly atmosphere. It felt authentic and peaceful, though it’s a bit far from the center. I stay in hotels often, and this one was a real highlight for me. Just keep in mind it’s not the St Regis.

The employees were polite and proactive, and breakfast was included and delicious. The hotel was also close to all the places I needed to visit.

A really nice place to stay, right by downtown.

It’s far from everything, and the shower in my room didn’t work.
