The receptionists were polite, and breakfast was really tasty. The rest of the stay was rough. The rooms are tiny, the minibar was broken, and the curtains don't cover the whole window, so the sun comes right into your face in the morning. The bathroom is cramped, the shower doesn't get warm, and it drips all night, which is awful if you're a light sleeper. The door won't close either. Fine for just one night, but I'd get frustrated staying longer.

A group of people arrived making a lot of noise and played dominoes on the balcony until 2 a.m. I tried calling all three reception numbers, but they were disconnected. The rooms are cramped, and the hotel seems to have no rules, with people making a racket and showing no respect. I had a really frustrating stay.

The staff were very helpful, and it's a welcoming, simple place in a great spot near the Santuário. The air conditioning in my room worked perfectly, and breakfast was basic. The minibar and cable TV were disappointing, though. I've stayed at several hotels in BJL, and this is one of the best. I'll come back. One thing to know: the single beds are quite high, which can make them difficult for older guests to use.

The bedding and bath linens were spotless, and the building has been renovated. It's a simple, tidy place with air conditioning and wi-fi, plus a basic breakfast. Good value for the money. It also has a few parking spaces inside, which is an advantage over the other nearby hotels.

A good value, with large, clean, simple rooms that have private bathrooms, a TV, and a minibar. The location is ideal for anyone visiting the Santuário do Bom Jesus da Lapa, right across from it.
