We stayed in the Capri apartment, and that view was amazing. There were five of us, two adults and three kids. We liked the pousada overall, especially the location and the view, and we’d stay again. Now we know what to bring next time. Since the apartment has a kitchen, we brought a lot of food to cook, but there were very few utensils. There wasn’t even a colander or anything for making a salad. It had some pots, a few without lids, but the cutlery was pretty poor too. There’s no oven or sandwich maker. They’d told us the utensils were there, so we hadn’t brought our own. If you plan to cook, bring things from home. The apartment is small and simple, but that matched the price. I’ve seen people complain about the structure, but we know the sea air takes a toll. For the price we paid, it seemed okay, especially since luxury places around here cost three times as much. The breakfast was the part that really disappointed me. We saw that breakfast was included and thought that sounded perfect, but it arrives on the balcony in a basket. There wasn’t much coffee or milk, and for five people we got just two pieces of fruit, one banana and one apple. It was the same thing every day, and pretty meager.

The reception service was great, but we didn’t like the other service. The bar staff seemed unmotivated and unwilling to help. The room itself was okay, the bed had a good mattress, and the air conditioning worked well. The kitchen was in rough shape: the fridge was very old and rusty, and the microwave was so loud it sounded like it might explode. The living room door was really hard to open, and the bathroom door only closed if you locked it. The pool and jacuzzi were extremely dirty. One was cold and the other was far too hot, honestly unbearable. It all felt neglected and poorly maintained. Some of the wooden stairs were loose, rotting, or broken, and seemed really dangerous. Breakfast was disappointing, very basic, though they brought it to the room. The beach umbrellas were moldy. Staff put them out for us at the beach, but didn’t seem very willing or helpful. It needs management, maintenance, and a more committed team.
